I went to see the "new" DKs a few years back at SXSW, just out of
morbid curiosity - the gig was essentially boycotted by everyone in
Austin over 30, so the entire venue was packed entirely with
college-aged kids... and looking across their faces I was astonished to
see that EVERY DAMN ONE OF 'EM was clearly mouthing along with the
lyrics to all the songs! I couldn't've done that myself!
It was hard to dismiss that as something that shouldn't have happened.

BTW: Jello's spoken word CDs are VERY highly recommended to all Bill
Hicks fans! Sardonic politial wit and subversion with a sneer! I only
have "High Priest of Harmful Matter" which is great; someone else may
be able to suggest the best one of the bunch. (JB's telling of the war
between the DKs and the FBI over artist H.R. Giger's painting "*****
Landscape" is the ultimate real life purple-veined dick joke!)
