Sorry. No "us versus them" end of the world stuff, just a strange
experience
I had recently...
Walking home from from a pub gig I was watching the uneven footpath in
front
of me when I felt someone tug my sleeve.
In the milliseconds of panic following the grab I was amazed that I didn't
hear this person approach. I could hear dogs barking miles away but no
footsteps.
I turned to confront the person to find no one, except me, on the path.
Looking around I saw nothing that my sleeve could have caught on and
realised that "someone" was trying to tell me something.
Ahead of me at the side of the road was an avenue of trees which cast deep
shadows across the road and the path.
I thought I was being warned of danger ahead.
As I continued down the path, paying much more attention to my surrounds,
I
expected an attack from the shadows but noticed something stranger.
The bluestone blocks (12" cubes) that should have been arranged around the
base of one of the trees were neatly arranged across the road instead.
You can imagine how dangerous it was for any cars to hit these!
I quickly put them back in their place and proceeded home, glad that I
didn't get caught putting them back by the local constabulary.
It would have taken some time to explain my obsession with bluestone at
2.30am.
OK, so not very scary but fairly cool. I wouldn't have looked up if it
wasn't for the tug on the sleeve...
