I suggest that you look into cable. I assume that there is a cable TV
provider in your area, and they probably offer cable Internet access as
well. It will run you some $30/month or so, depending on the speed you
choose, which is probably 3-4X as much as you are paying for dialup.
However, the speed will be several multiples of that higher than you can
get on dialup and your connection is always active (you don't have to
wait for any connection to be made at all, you simply log on and it is
there). With you local cable provider offering the service, they
already have a corp of service people who are ready to deal with any
problems that might arise; not like some ISPs who have a branch office
somewhere in your area who will send someone out as soon as they are
finished with 8 other jobs.
