There is a fourth - satellite-dish - but it's not suitable for all areas

weathers, and is basically for where the other three don't reach, these
days,
as I understand it.

Depends. If you're the only one on your block with cable from that
company?
It'll be blinding fast. If 300 of your neighbors are also using it? Well,
they'll be in the same bandwidth collection you are... In contrast, DSL
gives each customer their own chunk of bandwidth - but DSL speeds vary
with
distance from the local "central office", some.
